HÂRNWORLD NEWS
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~HÂRNQUEST UPDATE: KANDAY
It has proven to be impossible to republish Kanday exactly as the sold-out original. Considerable new material has been added and a lot of reorganization has been done. The module has grown to 50 pages; the original was 16 pages.
Because of the substantial improvement we plan to send the revised Kanday kingdom to HârnQuest subscribers. Because, it seems, reprints never turn out to be reprints, the Hârn Classic program is being shelved. Classic subscribers who were not HârnQuest subscribers, have been added to the HârnQuest list.
Expected charge date is Mar 31 and shipping will follow 2-3 weeks after.
Among the improvements:
• Kanday (and future kingdoms) will include a customized binder intended to hold the kingdom article and all other Kanday articles (Dunir, Selvos, etc).
• Historical maps for the Kingdom of Aleathia, 5 Year War, and Ezar's War. These maps are no longer based on the "modern" Hârn map but have been redone with the correct settlements and roads of the period.
• Illustrations of all the major land holding nobles in Kanday by Richard Luschek.
• Details about local clothing, music, food, markets etc.
• Detailed description of the Ternu Heath and the forest hundreds in Kanday.
• Color Heraldry and political map.
As always Columbia Games guarantees your total satisfaction on anything we publish. A 100% hassle-free refund will be provided if any products are returned. We're confident you'll love it.
WarFlail's Comment
A nice bit of news to round off an otherwise slow month in Hârn-related news. The shelving of the Hârn Classic idea is fine with me - why simply reprint the old stuff when you can improve them as well?
HÂRN LINK Updates
A few broken links have been struck off the HÂRN LINK for the sake of good housekeeping:
These sites may reappear in the near future - Björn, for instance, advised that he is currently investigating a different host for his fansite.
It's not all doom and gloom, though: Dicefullness makes a welcome return after the previous web host deleted the site for some reason. Also, we have a new entry:
Knights of Kaldor by Joe Adams
This site describes an epic Hârn campaign with an Arthurian flavour. There are already a couple of downloads available, which pertain to Joe's campaign and the Fethael Hundred, where the campaign takes place.
Addition to Clan WarFlail
This is something that took place 5 days ago, but I am delighted to announce the birth of my second son, Dylan! This is part of the reason why there haven't been many updates on this site in recent weeks.
Those of you who are interested in seeing the Sons of WarFlail, please head on over here. :-)
The other reason why there haven't been many updates here is that, simply put, things have been a little slow in the Hârn community, particularly with regard to official publications. No new announcements from either Columbia Games or Kelestia.com...
