Ouch! I got whacked by a couple of email messages telling me that the Hârn Religion Team hasn't died at all, but simply moved to a new address! The quick response says a lot about how popular that site is... Anyway, the HRT link has been resurrected and now points to this address:

http://pages.sbcglobal.net/harn-religion-team/

Thanks for letting me know, guys. :-)

Links get added; links get taken away... Jason has spotted a couple of dead sites on HÂRN LINK: the Hârn Religion Team and the Penultimate Tome. Quite a shame, really, as both sites had been mainstays for years.

Another deletion has come about from a request by web author Jocke Anderson, whose relatively new site, BronzeWorks, has been pulled down for upgrade. He says he can't promise when the site will return, so he has asked the link to be removed for now. Here's hoping for a speedy return!

On a more positive note, Steve Williams, webmaster of Kelestia.org.uk, has announced the launch of the first of four documents that he and his roleplaying team have written to produce the world's first complete set of Space-Opera house rules for HârnMaster Core! By Space-Opera, Steve means a blend of HMC, an adaptation of my GunMaster Gold rules, and Mega-Traveller RPG to faciliate meta-gaming in Kelestia.

Steve's first document is the Neuro-Psychiatric Classifications Table, which is aimed at replacing the current Psyche table in HMC. It definitely looks like it's been written by someone who really knows about this sort of thing. Check it out! :-)

As I had indicated, this is the first of four documents. I'll let you know when the others are completed and available for download.

I'm pleased to say that there are a few additions to HÂRN LINK for a change:

Brett's GURPS HârnWorld by Brett Pasinella

Spotted by Patrick. This site is one of a number that has adapted the GURPS rules to suit HârnWorld campaigns. Must say something about the popularity of GURPS! This page appears to detail Hârnic character generation rules. If you are a GURPS-Hârn gamer, check it out, but beware that you may get headaches from reading the purple text against the black background... :-)

The D20 Hârn Guide (D&D) by Shane9

Submitted by the author. Most D20 Hârniacs already know about this excellent page, which is a guide on how to use D&D 3rd Edition with HârnWorld. Currently part of Shane9's popular Shadow of Bukrai site, this page certainly deserves its own spot in HÂRN LINK.

Wizard's Lair by Tim Dugger

Submitted by the author. Actually, this isn't a new site at all, having been a resident of HÂRN LINK for ages but sadly succumbing to Dead Link Syndrome last month when its free host went bust. I'm delighted to announce that the Wizard ain't dead; he just moved to another address. :-)

Eighteen bloody days. That's how long I've been locked out from the Internet. You see, at the end of June I switched service providers, leaping off Telstra's sinking ship called BigPond Broadband ADSL and scrambling on to iiNet's new Bliink ADSL product. The problem, unfortunately, is that all ISPs in Western Australia must use Telstra's lines for ADSL, and Telstra is not exactly famous for providing efficient service to anyone, wholesale or retail.

Anyway, I'm back online again, and wading through nearly three weeks' worth of email. I'll attend to all pressing matters as soon as possible and post anything of (Hârnic) interest here. Watch this space...
