My HMC Miscellaneous Combat House Rules have been upgraded again. It is now version 1.9 and has become more daring with the introduction of the Weapon Comparison Table from HM1. Have fun!

A new addition to HÂRN LINK is the following site by Throckmorton Apocalypse (I challenge you to say that ten times really quickly!):
Throckmorton Apocalypse Wargaming <http://www.throckmorton.org/wargaming.html>
The page contains guides for using GURPS and White Wolf's Storyteller System with HârnWorld. Check it out.
Yesterday I got a bunch of guys together to embark on the new Trobridge Inn adventure module (there's an errata?! I didn't know that). The party comprises the following: a bounty hunter (mercenary); an apothecary (who doubles as the party healer); a Peleahn Shek-Pvar; a Savorya Shek-Pvar; a Taeldan hunter and a locksmith (who doubles as the party safe-cracker). Aside from the tribesman, the other characters hail from Harden, in the kingdom of Melderyn. An interesting group of talented yet impoverished individuals. It kicked off to a good start, let's see how this develops...
While I was busy preparing for the weekend's game, I had completely missed the events that took place at The HârnMaster Jousting Page. I am disappointed to see that my knight, Sir Marick of Arwine, was knocked out in the first round. And so easily, too! Oh well, these things happen... You can read the description of his ignoble defeat here.

It's nice to see an update at the Project Hârn website, particularly since it's been almost 50 days since the last update! Auran's starting to act like Columbia Games... <g>
Anyway, there are a number of articles up for view, one of which is my humble example of HMC Basic Combat. This article is an adaptation of the HMC vs. HMG Basic Combat article I wrote recently. Since HMG is not the "official" version of HârnMaster, all elements referring to HMG were removed and the focus of the article was shifted to demonstrate HMC's basic combat rules in action. Anyway, I hope you like it. :-)

Another update at Bill Gant's HârnMaster House Rules is version 1.6 of my HârnMaster Gold Combat House Rules.
If you are wondering why I produce house rules for both HMC and HMG, the reason is because I use a hybrid system that draws from both rules sets. For want of a better term, I refer to it as HârnMaster Advanced.

A couple of updates at Bill Gant's HârnMaster House Rules page, both Excel workbooks. One is an improved version of the HMC Armour Calculator, now featuring a full listing of possible armour types (to save you having to type them in yourself):
...And the other is something new. Well, not exactly new - it is a conversion of HMG's Generic Armour Profiles to HMC stats. Handy for when you chuck NPCs against the characters and need to know on the fly what armour they are wearing.
Comments or suggestions? Please let me know.

As I am starting to run out of webspace, I have re-saved all the Excel workbooks on Bill Gant's HârnMaster House Rules page in a slightly different format, thereby shrinking them significantly. You should find no problems opening and using the workbooks with a current or near-current version of Excel.

Eloquent HârnGamer, Aaron Kavli, has posted an excellent article about a Fyvrian Chantry to his Blades of Hârn site. There are detailed NPCs and some good Fyvrian spells there. Check it out:
Knethmoore Chantry <http://qraid.tripod.com/KnethmooreChantry.html>
Awesome work, Aaron!
While on the subject of sites, there are some superb map updates at Ken Snellings' quality site, Perils of Perinore:
Perils of Perinore - Maps <http://www.snellings.org/perils/Maps.htm>
Lastly, does anyone know what has happened to the following site:
Shek Pvar Database <http://w1.314.telia.com/~u31413981/harn/>
The link appears to be dead, so it has been removed from HÂRN LINK. Well spotted, Shane9.

My HMC Miscellaneous Combat House Rules become increasingly advanced (or controversial?) as the document reaches version 1.8. A couple of fundamental rule changes are introduced. Not for the faint of heart! :-)

Sorry for the lack of updates this week: I was away overseas on business again, this time in Tokyo.
A new addition to the HÂRN LINK is the following campaign site by Ray Te Paiho:
We Who Dare <http://www.geocities.com/rtepaiho/harn/we_who_dare/we_who_dare.html>
Looks like the rules set being used in this campaign is Hero System, although I could be wrong about that. (Feel free to correct me!)
