HârnMaster House Rules Update: I decided to put my limited first aid skills to gaming use and wrote an article on performing CPR in GunMaster Gold. Given the alarmingly high mortality rate in firefights, this article might just prolong a PC's life expectancy... Check it out here.

Today would have been my father's 70th birthday had he still been alive. We went up to Pinnaroo Valley Memorial Park to pay our respects to his grave.

Today is my mate Leonie's birthday! Happy Birthday, Leonie!. Hmm, I guess June must have been a popular month for our parents... :-)
The non-Hârn community is starting to sit up and take notice of the amazing world of HÂRN. Check out the preview at The Adrenaline Vault for Auran's upcoming game, Hârn: Bloodline:
Auran, an Australian-based design group, has started development on a new technology called Jet. The Auran Jet authoring application will provide designers with a generic engine, as well as a toolset that will enable them to author 3D settings, actors, and props. Auran has also signed an agreement with Canadian author Robin Crossby and publisher Columbia Games to license the electronic versions of the mythical RPG, Harn. The first in a series of Harnic titles, to be published through Electronic Arts, is Harn: Bloodline.
The developer is claiming a new genre for this series of games--Real Time Environment. Harn: Bloodline is an RTE release that uses Auran's Jet technology. Drawing on the detail and tone of Crossby's Harn environment, Bloodline promises to transport people to a world of unprecedented depth and refinement. With its complex ecosystem, fresh approach to tactical combat, and "realistic" fantasy setting, Bloodline promises to be a unique offering.
Bloodline offers an epic one-person story that features warring empires, political intrigue, a gauntlet of military might, and a living environment with its own agenda. Ten gods bless or curse gamers, nightmarish creatures assail them, and magic that draws on the very fabric of the universe enshrouds a secret from the past. Bloodline will also include comprehensive online features for epic competitive and co-operative games.
Bloodline is schedule to be released in 2000.

As it is a public holiday over here in Western Australia today (Labour Day), I've re-vamped my Hârn-Related Links page and am now proud to call it HÂRN LINK. Head on over there and check it out. If you have any ideas on how I should further improve the page, please let me know by e-mail.

Today, I ran another session of my GunMaster Gold campaign, "Gargun with Guns". Only two of my players could turn up, but it still gave us a chance to test out GunMaster Gold's firearms combat system (with some usage of stun grenades) as well as HârnMaster Gold's martial arts rules.
